"How to Prepare Scientific Work and Scientific Publications" Workshop

The Veterinary Public Health and Food Safety Centre for Asia Pacific (VPHCAP), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University, conducted an online workshop featuring Prof. Dr. Thomas Alter, Managing Director of the Institute of Food Safety and Food Hygiene, Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. Prof. Dr. Alter delivered a lecture on “How to Conduct Good Research and Publish Your First Paper” via Zoom, sharing valuable insights and practical guidance for young researchers and graduate students.

Seminar on Control Measures and International Regulations for Pathogens in Poultry Production

On 26 August 2022, VPHCAP, in collaboration with Elanco (Thailand) and Freie Universität Berlin, held a hybrid seminar on “Update on Control Measures and International Regulations for Pathogens in Poultry Production.” The event featured distinguished guest speakers from Thailand and Germany.

International Training Course on “Food Safety and Security from Animal Origin: Strengthening the Network for Sustainability”

On 1 August 2022, VPHCAP held the online opening ceremony for the International Training Course on “Food Safety and Security from Animal Origin: Strengthening the Network for Sustainability.” The event was honored by the participation of Chiang Mai University’s President, representatives from TICA, and a keynote address by Dr. Thanawat Tiensin on global food security and food safety.

On 19 April 2022, students of the MSc in Veterinary Public Health (International Program) joined the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University, in celebrating Thailand’s traditional New Year—Songkran Festival—through cultural activities and blessings.

From 4–12 April 2022, VPHCAP conducted a multi-day workshop on “Strengthening of Veterinary Service Capacity to Assure the Quality System in Food Safety” for MSc students in Veterinary Public Health. The program combined lectures, laboratory practice, field visits, and thesis presentations, offering students practical skills and professional insights for their future careers.

On 26 March 2022, students of the Master of Science in Veterinary Public Health (International Program) visited Tung Fah Bod Market in San Pa Tong District, Chiang Mai, to learn first-hand about veterinary regulations governing the trade of animals and animal products.

Student Field Trip: Exploring Nature and Culture in Chiang Mai

VPHCAP organized a one-day experiential learning trip for students in the Master of Science Program in Veterinary Public Health (International Program), combining outdoor adventure, cultural enrichment, and community spirit at the Pongyang Jungle Coaster & Zipline, Mae Sa Elephant Camp, and the Chiang Mai Flower Festival 2022.
