Risk Communication Workshop

The course consists of four modules: risk communication principles, communication in high-stress situations, message development and delivery, and media relations and practice. Special Lecture on Topic “Global Health Concern Emerging Pandemic Threats in Asia”

Recognizing the importance of emerging and re-emerging diseases that are often transmitted from animals to humans, the rapid pace at which these diseases can appear and spread poses serious public health, economic, and developmental challenges.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the University of Minnesota, USA, organized the “Global Health Institute (GHI) 2014” from February 3 to 13, 2014, at the Centara Duangtawan Hotel, with financial support from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
