On 19 April 2022, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University held a celebration for the Thai New Year, known as the Songkran Festival, at Building B. Students from the Master of Science in Veterinary Public Health (International Program) actively participated in the event, joining faculty members and staff in the traditional rituals.

During the ceremony, students sprinkled water onto a Buddha statue to ask for blessings—an important cultural practice symbolizing purification, renewal, and respect. The activity also provided an opportunity for international students to experience Thai traditions firsthand, fostering cross-cultural appreciation and community bonding.

Events like this highlight the unique environment at CMU, where academic learning is enriched with cultural experiences that broaden perspectives and strengthen connections among students, staff, and the wider university community.
