Global Health Institute - Thailand 2019

The Global Health Institute (GHI) – Thailand has been conducted annually with our various international partners since 2012. This program will strengthen both relevant technical skills and knowledge for fostering collective action of public health, surveillance system, food security and ecosystem health by interdisciplinary health education. GHI benefits number of participants from all over Asia and global to encourage One Health leadership as future workforce to help protect and save numbers of lives in our present and future generations.

This year, we conducted 4 short training courses;

  1. Collaborative Action Addressing Antimicrobial Resistance as a Global Grand Challenge Using One Health Leadership
  2. Vitalize Surveillance for Food and Health System through Molecular Epidemiology
  3. Risk Analysis in Practice to Improve Food System
  4. Application of Risk-Based Surveillance to Tackle African Swine Fever

There were 137 participants from 9 countries (Cambodia, China, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam) working in universities, government agencies, and private sectors joined our event.
