The Veterinary Public Health and Food Safety Centre for Asia Pacific (VPHCAP), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) and the WOAH Collaborating Centre, the National School of Veterinary Services, France Vétérinaire International (ENSV-FVI), France, organized the workshop “Study Visit in Thailand for Health Professionals from Lao PDR: Empowering a Collaborative AMR Response through Communities of Practice” from 3–7 March 2025 at Chiang Mai University.
The workshop was designed to support the development of public health professionals by strengthening their capacity to address the global challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in both Thailand and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. Through lectures, discussions, and interactive activities, the program emphasized experience sharing, knowledge exchange, and collaborative network building, fostering more effective and sustainable responses to AMR challenges.
This initiative highlights the importance of regional and international cooperation in One Health, contributing to stronger systems for AMR surveillance, prevention, and control.
